Why was the VCA created?

To mobilize and align capital markets to support the best possible opportunities, and build the next generation of climate-aligned market leaders.

By all accounts, the climate transition will catalyze the transformation, disruption, and displacement of incumbent industries on a massive scale. New entrants, whether climate solutions or otherwise, are exceptionally well-positioned to both shape and seize this opportunity. Venture plays an outsized role in accelerating innovation and shaping its contribution to the global net-zero transition.

Many of the venture industry's current investments will become tomorrow's market leaders. The VCA was created to provide the guidance and resources required to achieve a rapid, global transition to net-zero gas emissions by 2050 or sooner beginning at the earliest stages of business creation.
